Our luggage (a very modest total of 4 cardboard boxes, each less than 20 kg) is now on its way to the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia (KSA) and our freshly cleaned apartment has already been seen by the first prospective tenants. T already arrived in KSA today in the morning and gave me (K) a ring at 6AM just to make sure that I'd be awake and prepared and to receive the cleaning ladies who were knocking on our door at 8AM. To be fair, I should mention that T knew my alarm was set to go off at 6.15 and it's not like I had a good night's sleep anyways since my sinuses have already for the second time this year been invaded by a flu virus.
My flight is on April Fool's Day and I am wondering if anyone will believe me when I update my status on Facebook. Since this long visa wait has taxed our nerves we have not really told that many of our international friends about this whole move to KSA.
Many of you have asked how long we plan to stay in KSA and the answer is we don't know. T has already spent more or less five months in the magic kingdom and I have yet to set my feet on al-Saud land at the end of the week. We will see how it goes.
